Chengdu Hotpot & BBQ: Exquisite Chinese Dining Experience in South Salt Lake

The hot pot tastes great, and the soup base is very fragrant, with fresh ingredients. The service is good, the food comes out quickly, and the overall experience is very comfortable. The environment is clean, making it suitable for eating with friends. I will come again next time.

I can’t even say enough good things about this place. Let’s start with the staff. I absolutely LOVE the staff here! They are so nice and so cheerful and so so SO accommodating! Our waitress was so sweet! She was so worried my broth would be too hot, so she came to check on me more than a few times. Their spread is so diverse and delicious! Every thing is clearly labeled and is separated from veggie, options to meat options to seafood! There’s lots of extra sauces and drinks and add ins! It’s a lot of bang for your buck! Definitely going to come back again and again!

A well run hot pot restaurant with unlimited serving of quality food and large variety to choose from. Most impressed with the presence of seriously exotic Chinese ingredients such as frog leg, tripe, pig intestines... The price is not cheap, but there is good amount of quality seafood and lots of meat to choose from. Definitely go hungry!!! Each of us paid $40 for our table (extra charge of $7 per person for Korean BBQ) Also love the variety of drinks available at no additional cost. Also note no table reservation so go before 6pm! The server's English was not so clear so we had to figure a few things out but not big deal. One slightly weird thing is they kick you out after 2 hours. So beware.

Wow! Just wow. Totally unexpected wonderful hot pot experience in SLC. One of the best ever in terms or selection, quality, and service. And we’ve had hot pot all over the country and world. If you are in SLC and want Hot pot, this place is a must try.

Amazing food and great service! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The dishes had great taste and quality. A special shoutout to our server Tina Dǒng — she was very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her service made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back!

We love eating at Chengdu Hotpot and BBQ - we don't live in Salt Lake City but eat here every time we are in town. I have two girls who love celebrating special occasions here, most recently my 7 year olds birthday!
